An Island Shaped by Agriculture
Agriculture has been part of Madidhoo for more than four decades.
Covering approximately 104.4 hectares, Madidhoo supports different cultivation areas across the island for the production of fruits, vegetables and other crops under Maldivian island conditions.
Over the years, farming at Madidhoo has developed beyond cultivation alone. People, infrastructure, transport and market connections have grown around the agricultural operation, creating the systems needed to move produce from the field to customers.
Today, agriculture remains at the heart of Madidhoo.
